These five Ukrainian startups were born in Ukraine and received worldwide recognition. Now they help millions of people in their daily activities. May be, you are already using one of them? Let's check!

1. Petcube (https://petcube.com/)

Apparently, everybody heard about this most animal-friendly startup, which allows you to take care of your pet distantly. The best hardware-startup of Europe in 2014 under the version of The Europas, the most promising Ukrainian startup of 2013 by Ain, as well as the best Ukrainian startup 2013 by rating iForum - it's all Petcube! The project achieved its goal of $ 100,000 in a week at Kickstarter. At the end of the campaign, Petcube collected $ 251,000.

2. Depositphotos (www.depositphotos.com)

The international photo bank, the mediator between the authors of images and their buyers, was founded by Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Sergeyev in 2009 in Kyiv. In 2011, Depositphotos received $3 million investment from TMT Investments. It's got great potential with such resources! The headquarters of Depositphotos is located in the United States, and a developer team is in Kyiv. For the Ukrainian office, the company chose the format of the coworking. #justsaying 😉

3.Template Monster (https://www.templatemonster.com/ua/)

An IT company that develops and sells site templates and other web-based solutions. The company was founded in 2002 by  Ukrainian businessman with Georgian origin, David Arachamia, also known as a public activist and volunteer David Brown. The company started its work in Mykolayiv. Subsequently, it expanded into an international company with headquarters in New York. Thy have sold millions of their products, and monthly site traffic exceeds 5 million people from all over the world.

4. Readdle (www.readdle.com)

The Ukrainian mobile application development company. Research and development of the company are based in Odessa. On September 11 they announced that its apps were downloaded 100 million times. Earlier, Reader's eMail app Spark came in the ranking of Apple's best programs.

5. Grammarly (www.grammarly.com)

The service, which tracks grammatical and syntactical errors and incorrect expressions in English text and corrects them with necessary explanations, was founded by Kyiv's Alexei Shevchenko and Maxim Lytvyn in 2007.

Today, Grammarly has around 10 million users worldwide, as well as more than 700 contracts with leading companies and universities. The offices of the company are located in Kyiv and San Francisco. A wonderful example of how you can make money of literacy. 🤓
